First Time Overseas Experience

Welcome

Let me be the first to say Congratulations on achieving your goal of playing overseas.  Remember you are representing America, your family, and American basketball.

I don't know what every reader's way of thinking is but if you treat everyone the way you wanted to be treated I believe you will have a great experience in your journeys abroad.  This is a guide for what to and what not to expect when you come overseas to play.  In this guide you will find information on Passport, Language, Currency Rates, Foods, Telephones, Mailing and Receiving Packages, FAQ, and Responses from male and female basketball players who have played overseas.

Going to another country and not knowing their language or where to go can be intimidating.  But I knew I would be ok if given the right opportunity.  There were no guides or books for me to read as to what to expect only information from the few friends who had been overseas.  I don't want to see someone go through the same mistakes from not knowing as I went through.  You may not have the help that I received along the way. Hopefully, this guide will teach you how to avoid becoming another victim of  "How was I supposed to know, No one told me."
