First Time Overseas Experience

Depending on your situation or contract agreement your meals may or may not be included. Each situaton is different.  You may be familiar with some foods as chicken and rice and in other cases they may just give you a plate of food and say eat.  You must be careful.  Do not get me wrong, you should try the foods they offer to you because it is all in the experience of being overseas.

We are raised one way, and to see and learn how another culture cooks or eats food is amazing.  Start out with foods you know and try their foods slowly.  My first experience overseas I got sick in my first week. They call it "European Diarrhea".  I became nauseated and stayed on the toilet.  I had to go to the hospital and they ended up pumping fluids in me.

I tried their foods but I made sure I had orange juice, pizza, hamburgers, french fries and Mc Donalds at my side when ever possible.

In my first experience, I just ate the food and did not think it would be harmful. I thought food was food. Your body must adapt to the foods you haven't had before. Word to the wise: Be careful what you eat.
